Some truth about The Holy Season: By Oral Thomas
|
|
|
|
We've come a long way from that silent night, When the wise men saw the light, as the baby Jesus was born in a manger, The child that became our Savior.
Now our main emphasis is shopping, pine trees, and santa claus, while celebrating Jesus seem to be at a pause.
some stretch their hand for a penny, others rush pass them on their shopping spree.
Some crave for presents, while others feel guilty and tense.
Very often we get distracted from the silent night by clouds that impede our vision and dim the true light.
We can still be like the wise men and follow the brightest star of the season.
Let's get to know our savior, let's endeavor to love one another, and not lose sight of the true christmas light.

Christmas is suppose to be about Jesus, not about shopping, green trees, bearded fat men in red suits and everyone partying and drinking.
This is suppose to be a time of joy, but is the heavenly host joyous at such a time as this?
Every where you turn, people are decorating. Shop windows are glittering, toy stores are jammed, lines at cashiers are hours long.
The serpent still deceives, for while people are having fun, they have taken their eyes off the birth of the son.
